I am by no means rich…yet. I need to be financially literate first, and I suggest you do the same. Even though I go to school and take accounting, economics, and personal finance, these classes cant teach you a step by step guide on making dough. That is learned through mistakes, and yes everybody makes them. The best way to learn is not in the classroom, but in the real world.

What I recommend doing to become wealthy and rich at a young age is…

First of all, Get some source of income. A job builds character, confidence, and puts money in your pocket to start creating your financial empire and become wealthy. I say wealthy instead of rich because there is a difference. Rich is in my opinion is having  a large starting salary or monthly salary that creates temporary financial security. Wealthy is owning assets, such as mutual funds, stocks, and real estate, that create a lifetime of financial security. So a good book to understand this is Rich Dad Poor Dad by: Robert Kiyosaki. By this at Amazon they usually have a great price and fast shipping. This will get your feet wet with the basics and mindset of becoming wealthy.

So what to do starting now.

Sometimes I feel like my mind is going crazy. So many thoughts and emotions constantly changing makes it hard to pursue goals. I try not to let this consume my brain or take my eye off of the goal of being happy or successful.  I take little baby steps daily to achieve goals that take a month or so.  Whether its to get rich at a young age, build wealth, or save for a car, goal accomplishing becomes easy when its a little at a time.

Get a job.

In order to get rich, you must get cash. So, go out there and get a job. Whatever the job is, it still provides a source of income. Once you have a somewhat steady source of income… SAVE SAVE SAVE. I like to save a certain amount every time I get paid. Whatever you can after bills and recreation. Keep in mind that this alone is not going to get you filthy rich or wealthy quickly. It is a starting point. In this time, go and read up on wealth building books and do some homework so your familiar with the subject. Remember, financial literacy is the key to becoming rich..
